Facebook ad account disabled: what actually works, hour by hour
Your account went down and revenue stopped with it. Before you touch anything, understand what kind of restriction you are looking at. The wrong first move is what turns a two-day outage into a permanent one.
Hour 0–1: identify the restriction level
Meta restricts at three levels: the ad account, the Business Manager, and the personal profile behind them. Open Account Quality and read the exact wording. 'Ad account disabled' is recoverable far more often than 'Business Manager restricted', and a profile-level flag usually takes everything with it.
Screenshot everything before you appeal. Once an appeal is submitted the original message is often replaced, and you lose the only record of the stated reason.
Hour 1–4: submit one clean appeal
Submit exactly one appeal, from the profile that owns the asset, with a short factual explanation. No apologies, no essays, no legal threats. Appeals are triaged largely automatically; length does not help.
Do not submit multiple appeals from multiple profiles. Duplicate appeals are the single most common reason a recoverable account becomes unrecoverable.
What never to do
Do not create a new personal profile on the same device and IP to rebuild. Meta links devices, payment methods and browser fingerprints. A new profile built on a flagged device inherits the flag within days.
Do not move your pixel and payment method onto an unrelated friend's account. You lose both accounts instead of one.
Hour 24–48: decide between waiting and replacing
Appeals that succeed usually resolve inside 48 hours. After that, the realistic recovery rate falls sharply. If your daily spend is meaningful, the cost of waiting a week overtakes the cost of a replacement account very quickly.
If you have appealed once and 48 hours have passed, stop refreshing Account Quality and get spending again. Our Meta accounts are delivered with credentials and a warm-up playbook in minutes.
